Then & Now

If life is a journey, who thought life would carry me here? And so quickly?

My children are grown. My oldest granddaughter becomes a teenager this October. My daily partner on my path now is my cat. Don't knock that. He's a most special guy. He was feeling frisky today. Each time I leaned forward, he hopped up on my back. He's like that. He keeps me from becoming completely lost in my solitude.

God bless cats.

Of course there are still things to occupy or preoccupy my time. I can quilt. I can write. I can play bridge, or garden, or run errands. It's amazing since I've retired how many errands there are now to run. In fact they're so frequent I can hardly get anything else done.

And so it goes. Time slips quickly away. Hug your days. Cherish them. Even when retired.

Best wishes to all.
